TRIPPY TRAIL is a fixed-route, unsupported, single-stage trail running expedition starting and finishing
at Nigerpass. The route crosses the highest ranges of the Italian Dolomites, stitching together remote
ridgelines, empty valleys and places most people will never reach.
Note for the brave. We bend the definition of trail running here. It’s a serious undertaking and it will
almost certainly be the slowest time ever on this course.
Runners should expect some hike-a-run sections and serious exposure to the elements. Participants
can choose from two routes:
Runners should expect some hike-a-run sections and serious exposure to the elements. Participants
can choose from two routes:
- CLASSIC (50km, 3.600 moa)
- ADVENTURE (100km, 6.300 moa)

One of the highlights of TRIPPY TRAIL is its carefully selected checkpoints, each a mountain refuge perched atop breathtaking mountain ranges, welcoming riders with the best pasta, pizza and coffee.
Event director Raphael Albrecht envisions a demanding yet welcoming event where runners don’t
compete against each other but take on the course together. TRIPPY TRAIL steps away from rigid
“unsupported” rules and actively encourages participants to run in company. The focus is the
experience, not the result – there’s no time limit and a little surprise awaits at the finish.
Beyond the “leave no trace” principles, TRIPPY TRAIL embeds all CO₂ emissions generated by
runners’ transport, accommodation and food. Additionally, there are income-based tickets, more
affordable local runner tickets and SOLI CARDS to support runners with tighter budgets and
underrepresented groups in running – because adventure should be for everyone.
